We have once again partnered with Schoolkidz to offer school supply boxes for next year for grades K-5th. Please know that this is just an option for those who don't want to search out all of the supplies themselves. All orders will be done online at www.shopttkits.com (no paper orders). Our school account # to order online is 12346. Please make sure that you are ordering for the grade that your child will be in NEXT year. These kits will be available to purchase online until May 26th and will be in the classroom on the 1st day of school if you order one. Thanks!

Shout of to The First Presbyterian Church of Gibson City who have donated $6,000 to GCMS School District to cover students negative lunch account balances for the 2022-2023 school year. Food insecurity is at the core of the missions from the church and this donation will alleviate financial burdens on many families entering the summer. The GCMS community is amazing at finding wonderful ways to support kids!

Congratulations to our Middle School Scholastic bowl team on their regional championship win!
Elective option forms for the 2023-24 school year have been passed out to current 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students. Please be sure to ask your student about this form and assist them in making sure it is returned to school by May 3rd. Current 5th grade students will return their form to their 5th grade teacher. 6th and 7th grade students will return their form to their enrichment teacher. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Jamison, our middle school counselor.

At the April 24 regular BOE meeting Board Members Miranda Leonard, Emily Tucker-Davis, and Adam Elder were sworn in, along with appointed Board Member Adam Mussman (pictured on left), after winning the April 2023 Consolidated Election. Josh Johnson (President, Phil Whitehouse (Vice President), and Janna Friday (Secretary) were elected to board leadership. Tyler Young (pictured right) served in his last board meeting after 14 years of service!
Please help me in thanking these community servants past and present for filling these vital roles in school governance.
