GCMS Families, Some important calendar information to share, please read!!! Friday, May 5th is an 11:30 dismissal for School Improvement Monday, May 22 through Wednesday, May 24 are 2:20 dismissal Thursday, May 25 is an 11:30 dismissal and Last Day of School Other School based events will be shared through our various social media platforms and website in coming days and weeks. Should you have any questions please reach out to your students' respective schools. Hard to believe we have just over a month left in the 2023-2024 School Year. Be SAFE, enjoy, and finish strong! Some of our 8th grade students had the opportunity to attend the annual Trade Up Day at Parkland College. They participated in numerous demonstrations and interactive stations to learn about career and technical education opportunities. It was a great day!

This Wednesday (April 19th), our GCMS FFA Chapter will be holding our annual Ag. Expo in the lot behind the Ag. Shop. For this day, we ask that all students and staff parked in the red area in the picture below to please make other arrangements for parking as this area will be closed off from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. https://bit.ly/3L7MEjc **ALSO- Starting at 8:15am to 2:30pm, E. 16th St. will be barricaded off. This is where our big implements will sit. Please plan accordingly- First Come/First Serve Alternate areas of parking will be: By the Softball Field along the road Student Parking along side of the elementary Any parking in an assigned spot (teacher or another student's) will NOT be allowed We apologize for the inconvenience, however greatly appreciate your support as we provide this day of learning for the elementary students!

GCMS Community, As a result of the April 4th consolidated election GCMS has an opening for a 2 year Board of Education seat. In accordance with Board Policy 2:70 we are notifying the public of this open seat to allow anyone interested in filling that seat the chance to submit a resume and letter of interest to Board President Josh Johnson (johnson.josh@gcmsk12.org) for full board consideration at the April 24th regular scheduled board meeting, where the open seat will be filled by appointment. Please submit interest on or before April 21, 2023.

The results of these assessments are pieces to our decision making puzzle that are very important, and kids engaging fully helps us make informed decisions.
