Attention Middle School Wrestling athletes and parents- a reminder of the preseason meeting tonight at 5:30PM in the Middle School cafeteria. Parents who have athletic paperwork to submit may do so at the meeting. We look forward to seeing all who can attend.

GCMS will be hosting their annual Veterans Day Assembly on Friday, November 10 at 9 AM in the high school gymnasium. All members of the community are welcome to attend the assembly. We will be providing a coffee and pastry breakfast in the high school commons beginning at 8:15 AM for all veterans in attendance. We invite any veteran to attend and enjoy the assembly. There will be a parade of veterans at the beginning of the assembly to honor those who have served our country. Anyone that would like to add a veteran's photo to our video slide of veterans can do so by emailing the photo and information to Walker Willis at willis.walker@gcmsk12.org. GCMS Families: A number of SPAM emails were delivered to high school students over the weekend soliciting for money. These are fake, do not click on any links contained in the emails and do not reply to these messages in any way. We are examining our email filters today to prevent this moving forward.

Please keep our neighbors, the Ridgeview Mustangs, in your thoughts as they navigate the tragic loss of one of their students as the result of a car accident. Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of the students, staff, and community members in this difficult time.
As a show of support we encourage student and staff to wear navy, silver, gray, and white in honor of the Mustang family.
We encourage GCMS students to reach out to our SEL (social emotional team) should the need arise.

Good afternoon! The elementary school will be allowing students to wear their Halloween costumes next Tuesday (Oct. 31st). Please keep scary masks and weapons at home. We are excited to see the kids dressed up!!!

As part of Red Ribbon Week, our Middle School student's learned about the dangers of vaping and drug use. Special thanks to Trooper Jones, from the Illinois State Police for leading a very engaging lesson.
