GCMS Middle School Student Council is hosting a Coin Drive December 1st-5th in support of Gibson Area Food Pantry
High School Parents,
We have several options for your student to receive support for their classes. A tutor is available after school Monday-Thursday from 3:30-4:30. Study tables are available each day of student attendance from 7:30-8 AM and 3:30-4 PM in the high school library. We also have a tutor available during the day Tuesdays and Thursdays that your student can go to during their study hall for extra support.
Each department has a reteach/retake policy that your student can take advantage of to improve their scores on quizzes and/or tests. If you have questions about reteach/retake policies, please reach out to your student’s specific teacher.

Mrs. McDonald's class had their third annual Thanksgiving lunch today! The kids helped prepare the meals and invited teachers to join and read their papers :)
An FYI for fans attending tonight's 8GBB regional game at Onarga- due to a boiler issue at their school, it might be a bit chillier in their gym than usual tonight. The games will proceed as scheduled, but fans might want to bring a sweater just in case. GO FALCONS!
Our boys' and girls' basketball teams are joining forces in a fundraiser for Friedrecih's Ataxia. They're selling shirts as well as raffling a handmade lap quilt. The GCMS FBLA Chapter will be hosting a canned food drive from November 27th - December 8th for a competition between the GCMS High School advisory classes! Canned goods, paper goods, and monetary donations will be accepted.
10 GCMS Choir students were selected by audition to perform in the ILMEA District 3 Honors Choirs. They will spend this Saturday rehearsing with other District 3 musicians at Olivet Nazarene University, and will end the day with performances in Centennial Chapel at 2:00 pm (Junior ensembles) and 4:30 pm (Senior ensembles). High school choir students selected were: Lucas Clinton, CC Francis, John Fields, Evan Killian, and Calvin Rachiell (not pictured). Middle School choir students selected were: Ashlan Allhands, Sean Volker, Chance Hewitt, Levi Johnson, and Emery Summers.

Tonight will be a very busy night around the Elementary and High Schools. We have girls basketball, CAPS, practices, and the Community Water meeting.
Those attending the Community Water meeting the east doors off of Lott Blvd, and the main entrance off of the U-drive, will be open for the meeting in the cafeteria. We encourage you to park and enter from Lott, to avoid game traffic and parking issues.
We also encourage everyone to be respectful to our school neighbors and not block driveways or park in alleys or yards.

We're excited to share that Junior Matt Allen has been named to the IHSFCA All State Academic team for Class 1A schools! He's not only a fierce competitior on the field but he works hard in the classroom, too! Congratulations, Matt; you make us #FalconProud!
Our varsity girls basketball game vs. Iroquois West on Tuesday, November 14 will be played at 5:30 PM. Monticello vs. Salt Fork will tip-off at 7 PM.
