Good morning GCMS Middle School! Today is Monday, March 3. 

Would you now please rise and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.           


Congratulations to our 8th grade volleyball team who defeated Ridgeview on Friday night in the SVC showcase. 

Congratulations to our wrestling team on making history on Saturday. They are the first team in school history to win the sectional championship for wrestling. We will be sending 11 wrestlers to the state tournament which takes place on Friday and Saturday at Northern Illinois University. Teachers, please note that we will have a parade for our state qualifiers Thursday afternoon towards the end of 10th period. 

Good luck to our scholastic bowl team as they have a match here at home against St. Mal. The match will start at 4:00 and takes place in our library. 

Good luck to our 7th grade volleyball team as they are competing in the first round of the IESA regionals against PC. That game will take place in Gridley at EPG Junior High. The game starts at 5:00.

The 4th and 5th grade class with the most participants will win dilly bars for the whole class!! The 6th and 7th grade enrichment class with the most participating will win dilly bars! There will be a Kindness Club meeting Wednesday morning at 7:30am in the library.

Students, please make sure that you are coming to school with a fully charged chromebook.  We do not have many extras left to loan out if you forget.  

Students, please make sure that your cellphone and smart watches are put away in your locker. 

Students that are eating school lunch today please be sure to sign up on the google form. First choice today is a hot dog and second choice is a chicken sandwich.  Please be sure to sign up so you get the choice that you want and to help us ensure that we have enough food for everyone.
