Falcons

Good morning GCMS Middle School! Today is Tuesday, September 24.

Would you now please rise and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Congrats to our baseball team who won their opening round regional game last night 11-3. They will play again on Wednesday.

Congrats to our 8th grade girls basketball team who beat Hoopeston last night 26-8.

Good luck to our girls basketball team today as they head to Clifton to play Nash.

Wednesday’s dress up day is Babies vs. Boomers so you can dress up as a baby or an elderly person.  Thursday is Holiday Day so please wear your favorite holiday gear.  Friday is of course Falcon Friday so please wear your GCMS Falcon gear.  Remember for these dress up days, all clothing must be school appropriate and face coverings and face paint are not allowed.

Attention 7th/8th grade band students: Remember to take your instrument & music home. Be in the North HS parking lot by 6:00 on Thursday.

Attention students, Ms. Ferguson is starting a new club, the Kindness Club.  If you enjoy helping others, spreading joy, making others smile, and being in a fun group then this is the club for you!  Meetings will take place every other Wednesday opposite of student council.  The first meeting will take place on September 25 at 7:30 in the library.  Please see Ms. Ferguson in the library if you have any questions.

Don't forget to submit your yearbook cover design! Designs are due this Friday, September 27th. See Ms. Ferguson if you need paper or have questions.

Students, please make sure that your cellphone and smart watches are put away in your locker.

All students need to complete their daily check-in.  The check-in can be found in the SEL Classroom.  Also, students that are eating school lunch today please be sure to sign up on the google form.  First choice today is chicken stew and second choice is chicken strips.  Remember, if you are eating school lunch you must sign up during first period.  This ensures that we have made enough food for everyone.

Students, please remember to follow our school-wide expectations of Be on Time, Be Prepared, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.

Today is a great day to have a great day!
