Falcons

Good morning GCMS Middle School! Today is Thursday, September 5.

Would you now please rise and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Students, it’s time to start our Rebecca Caudill reading challenge!  For every 5 Rebecca Caudill books you read you get a full sized Candy Bar.  If you end up reading 20 books you will earn a pizza party.  Be sure to check out these books in our library!

Congratulations to the baseball team on their 10-3 win vs. Champaign Edison last night.

Congratulations to Bo Grider, Rylan Urrutia, and Dayne White who all finished in the top 16 at yesterday's IESA Golf Sectional.

Good luck to our softball team today.  They will be dismissed at 2:55 for their game in Rantoul.

Attention students trying out for cheerleading, today you will ride the bus over to the elementary school.  You will need to get on bus 7, which is the same bus that you rode over on Tuesday.  This bus is in the first round of buses and leaves at 3:25.

For those interested in the Geography Club, the first meeting will be in Mrs. Purcell-Givens classroom today after school until 4:00.  Hope you can make it!

Attention students interested in FCA,  your next meeting will be tomorrow morning at 7:30 in the band room.  Please reach out to Miss. Shreffler or Mrs. Van Vickle if you have any questions.

If you love to write, meet new people or take photos, this is the club for you! Check it out!

Students, please make sure that your cellphone and smart watches are put away in your locker.

All students need to complete their daily check-in.  The check-in can be found in the SEL Classroom.  Also, students that are eating school lunch today please be sure to sign up on the google form.  First choice today is beef and noodles and second choice is a bbq chicken sandwich.

Students, please remember to follow our school-wide expectations of Be on Time, Be Prepared, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.

Thank you and have a fantastic day Falcons!
