The GCMS School Board has appointed two new members to be approved on Monday, August 12th at the GCMS Board of Education Meeting. We are proud to introduce our new board members!
Kenna McCall
Kenna McCall is a lifelong resident of the G.C.M.S. school district. She and her husband, Mike, have 4 children and will have their seventh grandchild this September. Kenna graduated from Parkland College with a degree in A.A.S. RN program and completed her Bachelor’s degree in nursing at Western Governors University. She has been a Nationally Certified Registered Nurse for over 32 years, specializing in Perioperative education and worked in management and leadership roles for over 13 years of her career. Kenna and her husband love to spend time with their children and following the grandchildren to their sporting events, school and community activities. Some know Kenna as the “runner” in Gibson City as she has trained for and ran several marathons. Staying physically active both personally and within our community is important to her. Kenna has served and volunteered on many community organizations over the years. Kenna is a lifetime member of the Gibson Area Hospital and Health Services Auxiliary, our local food pantry, G.C.M.S Booster Club and as a student mentor. Kenna is honored to have been appointed to the Board of Education and will continue fostering and building the good relationships within the district. Kenna will serve as an advocate to our community members, educators and our students of G.C.M.S. Falcon Proud!
Sarah Lutterbie
Sarah is a proud GCMS parent to an elementary and a preschool student. She grew up in Brighton, Illinois and attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2013. Although she and her husband (Joe-GCMS class of 2005) moved to Gibson City recently in 2023, Sarah is eager and excited to be involved in the community. In addition to working as a community pharmacist, she has also owned and operated a franchise, Fit4Mom Bloomington/Normal, and is a certified Functional Medicine Practitioner offering online health coaching. She has a passion for helping kids and has spent much of her time volunteering as a youth sports coach, and participating in organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Baby Fold, and Project Oz. Sarah is dedicated to ensuring that every student in the GCMS school district is given access to schools that foster the opportunities to grow and succeed academically, socially, and physically.
