The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley School District strives to provide unique educational opportunities to all students. This year we expanded our AP course offerings to include a new class– AP Chemistry. The total number of students enrolled in AP courses during the 23-24 school year was 40, which is an increase over last year.
We are thrilled to announce that the Percentage of Total AP Students with Scores 3+ at GCMS High School was 67.50% for the 23-24 school year!
Subject score highlights for GCMS AP Testing:
For the 3rd year in a row, EVERY student who took the AP English Literature exam passed with a score of 3 or higher!
The greatest number of students took the AP History Exam—- 22 students.
AP Calculus was taken by more students than ever before and had a pass rate of 83%.
27 students earned scores of 3+ which is ten more students than last year.
AP Courses offered by GCMS High School include: AP Calculus AB, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP English Literature and Composition, AP Music Theory, and AP US History
